Magic Mentha's Third Blog Anniversary Reading Giveaway!

Greetings All,

I wanted to do a blog anniversary giveaway but funds are a bit tight at the moment. Knowing that, I decided to give away a reading. I've decided to let the recipient choose from a video reading using an unlisted URL linking to a YouTube video, a cartoon caption reading, or a standard, traditional e-mail reading using any deck from the 45 plus on my list--which I will send to the winner to choose from.

To enter, simply comment below mentioning what your favorite Halloween/Samhain was and why. If you don't celebrate Halloween then write down what most loved October activity.

Using Random.org, I will choose a winner on October 30th and announce it here on the blog.

Love,
MM

  1. Hi MM, what a nice offer! I think my favourite Halloween was 2007 or 2008 (can't recall exactly). But that day was a busy one and memorable. I worked, came home, had a training session with a certified kettlebell instructor in the green outside our flats because I was heavily into my physical training and that time and was in great shape and had just bought a kettlebell and wanted to learn to use it properly. Then after the training, I got myself dressed up on a manga outfit and headed back to work because we were hosting a manga party, with a publisher called Tokyo Pop talking about their publications. The guests all came in costume and we served Japanese snacks that I'd ordered from the Japan Centre in London. Then after work, my friend and work/colleague came back to my place for our annual viewing of John Carpenter's 'Halloween'. She's from Portugal and had never seen it! We bought a very small cake and decorated it for Halloween, then as a finishing touch, plunged a big knife right through the middle. Hubby had decorated the entire living room with his pumpkin collection (he does this every year anyway). It was a busy and fun day.

  2. I think my favorite halloween will be this year., because for the first time we have grown our own pumpkins in our garden. For me October is more an ongoing Autumn fest which will end at Samhain.

  3. Oooh! Lovely. Your own pumpkins! Sounds excellent. :) That is very true. I also see it as an entire season, starting in September and extending to the first week of November.

    Much Love,
    MM

  4. My favorite Samhain will be this year because I have my Mom with me for the first time in ages and we have two enormous pumpkins to carve. We may even wear black and fly around like bats at midnight.

  5. I think my favorite Samhain might be the one coming up, because I'm going to (try to go to) a concert of my favorite band. I'm thinking of going in full-on Goth, which would be splendiferously inappropriate for a TMBG concert and cracks me up SO MUCH.

  6. Oh my! Our blogs almost share a birthday :D

I don't have a favourite halloween - being fairly new to it and all (dirty foreigner ha ha!) - but my favourite _part_ of halloween is having the stores filled with jewellery and accessories and decor that is totally my style: skulls and spiders and bats, OH MY! This is also my _least_ favourite part of halloween, because I can't have it all *BOOOOOOO* ;)

p.s. Not an entry - let it go to someone who needs a reading -, just wanted to share by enthusiasm for the most wonderful tiiiiiime of the yeeeeeeear!!

  7. Yay! Happy mutual blogoversaries!

I totally agree about loving the vibe of this time of year and the skulls and such (wore Day of the Dead earrings yesterday) and the whole bit! Sorry about the denial of morbid goodness!! I also wish I could have a stash of cash for these things! Let us pray to the gods of Halloween wares and see what we can get!

Thank you for your enthusiasm!! And I would be glad to enter you either way.

    Skele-hugs!!
