Extending the Hiatus Another Week

Hello Folks,

I think I've been fighting off a cold over the past week. Either that or it was a combination of food-induced sinus headache and PMS, since my period started today. Consequently, I have felt rather run down and posting on the blog hasn't felt like a priority. More accurately I guess I just didn't have the energy. The pile of unfolded laundry that I have also has not been a priority so...no offense, blog.

Here's a card I got not too long ago (yesterday?) using my phone's Enchanted Tarot App. I also own the Enchanted Tarot Deck (though I don't use it because of its large size) as well as the smaller, borderless version--the Zerner-Farber deck. I figured the Star was appropriate to get as it often represents taking time out to heal, recover and rejuvenate.

In any event, I am wishing all of you a splendid week, and I hope to see you next week.

Much Love,
MM

  2. Wishing you a fast recovery, dearest!
I love the Enchanted Tarot - it was my first tarot deck ever! But yes, it's rather big and I ended up trimming mine to better use it. You could always try the Zerner-Farber tarot, which is a pockt version of the Enchanted. :)

    1. Thanks, dearie!

Yes, I own both sizes... My Zerner-Farber is so worn out the edges are white!

I also got The Enchanted Tarot from my husband as (pretty much) my first deck. That was 13 years ago !

      Hugs to you,
      MM

  3. The Zerner Farber was my first deck but I don't have the Enchanted.

Did you know there is an app for the Graven Images Oracle at iTunes? I've always loved this deck as I like cemetery art. I don't have a phone to run apps but it's interesting to see so many card decks have apps--I think it's great.

    1. Yes, it's a wonderful deck. I love it! The borderless and small size is MUCH better for reading. The Enchanted is great and very attractive but hard to shuffle, especially if you have small hands.

I don't know if there is--I haven't seen one but it would be worth looking into!

      Hope you're well. :)

      Hugs,

    2. Sorry Hannah, I worded that confusingly. What I meant to say is that there IS a new app for the Graven Images Oracle available at iTunes. I was asking if you knew it was there, not if you knew if there was one.

(googly eyes--back to the hidey hole where I make better sense!)

I enjoy the Zerner-Farber deck. Need to use it more often.

I am actually feeling a bit better now. My period is going on but I think relief from PMS was part of the reason I feel better now. Also, I think I had a mild cold. Nothing as bad as a month or two ago. My husband seems off now though. Poor guy. Thanks for the goodness!

Yes, it's a pretty deck--I like the feel of it. Hope you are having a good week.

      Hugs,

    1. Glad you aren't offended. ;D

I hope your week isn't too harried. If all is going well I hope you're in bed asleep. :)

I am going to be making some limited edition holiday bath/body things (lip balm, bath fizzies, a couple soaps) because I felt like it and a friend of mine wanted to buy a few things so I thought, 'What the heck?' Besides which I usually participate in a local holiday sale. Last year I sold some bath salts. I'm not sure how this year will go but I just needed something to focus on short term.

I have been expending too much mental and emotional energy trying to figure out the BIG THING to do next. I decided it's better for me just to do little things here and there and see if anything turns into something more interesting or lasting.

      Much Love,
      MM

    2. Sounds like a very sensible approach to take to the question of where to put your energy. Do projects you enjoy, and see where they take you :) And I get the sense that you have fun making the soaps and bath fizzies, etc, so why not? Is the holiday sale at a particular event? A good networking opportunity, too, if so...

My week is busy, and I've not had enough sleep - my hotel room last night was cold :( Still, hopefully tonight will be better.

Hope you're resting enough, and playing enough ;)

    3. Yes...I think that the happier and more 'successful' people tend to try several things and not get easily discouraged. I tend to put too many eggs in one basket and then not always follow through! So I'm just going forward in a loving but imperfect way. We'll see where it takes me.

Sorry about your cold room and mediocre sleep. I always have weird times with sleep in the winter--but also in general. It's hard to get comfortable and stay asleep, etc. Oye!!

      Much Love to you,
      MM
